Earlier, Su Ming and Monark had found the Sorcerer Assault Team's insignia in the cabin of the Ghost Ship, but they had not seen that unit in any of the battles that followed.

Very mysterious. Logically, the Sorcerer Assault Team was a special guard unit that served only one person back then. They were responsible for collecting magical artifacts around the world, hunting Allied sorcerers and Mutants, and seeking the secret of immortality.

But after 1925, that person had been replaced by Kang the Conqueror. So ever since the unit was established in 1939, it had not been heavily relied upon. Kang was not actually interested in magic or immortality.

Then who had instructed Farmer to establish this team?

After Kang was defeated, the unit underwent some sort of change. They were sent onto the battlefield and began targeting ordinary people. Even now, they remained active.

But where was the one pulling the strings? Why did it always feel as though the leader of that Sorcerer unit could not care less about anything?

There should be an unknown Mage within the opposing camp, and Faustus's use of Voodoo Mushroom might also have been guided by that person.

There were many possible identities for that sorcerer. Though Su Ming hoped it was not Selene, he had to be prepared.

Although her focus was not yet on Hellfire, and she should still be somewhere in South America playing around with her fire-worshipping cult tricks, Hellfire's extensive influence throughout society—and its gradual transformation into a Mutant organization—would only become more important to her.
