"Strange. Why did you choose such a troublesome method?"
The three of them had left the Eiffel Tower and arrived atop a building outside the Champ de Mars, leaving only Magneto and Charles floating near the tower's tip. In the morning sunlight, they looked like tiny black dots.
Ciri asked Su Ming curiously. She had participated in the battle of Asgard, so she naturally knew that whenever Deathstroke needed information, he could call upon that Gate Keeper and use divine power to investigate.
It was said that Heimdall could see anywhere within the Nine Realms. Wouldn't it have been easier to find him? Why insist on bringing two Mutants together?
Su Ming smiled at her and gestured for her to look again at the two men standing together on the manhole cover in the air. They were pressed tightly against each other.
On the tiny manhole cover, Charles stood in front, pressing his index and middle fingers to his temples as he activated his ability. Since he was doing this with good intentions, hoping to free Magneto from the Abyss of hatred, he wore a smile on his face.
Magneto, meanwhile, was pressed against Charles's back. To control magnetism, he spread his arms with his palms facing upward and closed his eyes, as though he were flying. But his expression was grim and burdened by hatred. Perhaps the strain of his powers was too great, or perhaps his urgency for revenge was overwhelming; his face looked somewhat feral.
At a glance, the Scottish bagpipes from My Heart Will Go On began playing in Su Ming's mind.
However, he shook his head and said to Ciri, "Look at them. So loving, so united. They're destined to be together."
"Huh?" Ciri's little face stretched long, even the skin around her nose wrinkling.
