"Clatter, bang, crash!"

As he watched the autonomous armor gang up on Jason, the middle-aged man's cries grew weaker and weaker until he closed his eyes as if he had breathed his last. Yet the suits of armor still did not stop, battering him relentlessly as though he were a rice cake.

Su Ming merely folded his arms and looked at the old Mage beside him, while the old Mage leaned on his staff and looked back at him.

Neither of them spoke. The air fell quiet as the wind from the Seine River blew past, carrying the cold, faintly sweet scent of winter.

"Uh, aren't you going to check on him? He looks like he's about to die." In the end, the old Mage was the first to lose his composure and speak.

"Check on what? Watch your illusion performance? Or watch the pose you strike when sneaking up behind me?" Su Ming smiled and applauded. He drew the God Metal Gauss from his belt pouch, loaded several Divine Metal Bullets, then worked the bolt and chambered a round.

It truly had been a fine illusion. The blend of light, shadow, and magic deceived the eye perfectly. Jason was indeed a master in this field, and the plan itself was not bad either.

"What are you talking about? I'm Merlin. His illusion hasn't even finished unfolding yet."

"Stop pretending. Before you appeared and rescued Sebastian, hadn't the illusion already been prepared? Instant movement, Elemental Form, Teleportation Portal—among those three abilities, your movement speed should rank second, and you were definitely faster than Shaw walking. Perhaps before he even came out, you had already arrived ahead of time based on the direction and laid out your plan. Azazel and Wind Demon bought you time; their tasks were both to stall.
