Decades had passed, yet this man's appearance had not changed at all. The short stubble and the single eye covered by a black leather eyepatch looked highly intimidating to outsiders, but Steve felt only warmth and familiarity.

"Godfather." Steve got to his feet, his head and shoulders drooping. He even felt too ashamed to face anyone.

"Get in, kid." Su Ming waved at him and pushed open the passenger-side door.

This car had been picked up too, except it had been picked up from someone else's home. Strangle was exceptionally good at making keys; all it had to do was flow into the lock and harden.

"I'm waiting for Peggy. She's still at the White House." Steve pointed across the road, where the Stars and Stripes still fluttered above the ruins.

"She's not going anywhere. It's not like you two have to be inseparable, watching her everywhere she goes, right?" Su Ming smiled helplessly.
