"Chirp chirp! Chirp!"
To the sound of birdsong in the early morning, Hank Pym slowly woke up clutching his head. One hand pressed against his forehead as he stared at the ceiling with dead-fish eyes.
The phantom of his dead fiancée had not appeared again. It seemed she had accepted Janet too, or perhaps she was the one who had guided him to Janet.
The woman pinning down his other arm was real enough. He turned his head and saw Janet's snow-white back exposed outside the blanket.
She was still sleeping deeply. After finally avenging her great enemy last night, she had cried endlessly for some reason. Pym had no choice but to genuinely take her out for ice cream, after which the two of them returned to his home together.
At first, they had indeed shrunk themselves down to the size of an ant and a wasp, licking ice cream together. Perhaps sugar really could heal wounds, because she soon stopped crying.
But there was still plenty of sundae left after they had eaten their fill, and neither of them knew who made the first move. They simply started a snowball fight.
After all, ice cream was not ordinary snow. It contained cream and sugar as well. After playing for a while, both of them were sticky all over, and so what was supposed to happen happened.
They kissed and embraced their way into the shower, then rolled into bed. Janet was so wild, as though she needed to vent her fear or anger, that even Pym was frightened. In the end, the two of them seemed to have passed out. It was probably what they called blacking out from getting too high.
Still, Pym woke up on time today, because every morning he had to observe and document
