Natasha tied Fury to the copilot's seat and started the helicopter, flying toward Howard's home.

"Fly lower. Use the buildings for cover. Watch out for anti-aircraft missiles," Fury said with his eyes closed. His condition had stabilized somewhat, but he knew he was not out of danger yet.

Black Widow glanced at him. "If you're so capable, why don't you fly it? You sure talk a lot. Do all divorced men undergo such drastic personality changes?"

Fury was left speechless by the jab. What he was going through was far more complicated than a divorce. After hemming and hawing for a long while, he finally said, "I'd rather be widowed than divorced."

"Heh, don't try to fool me. You deliberately didn't kill her, didn't you?" Black Widow sneered. "Your Safehouse is packed with all kinds of weapons, and I even saw little gadgets Howard invented. You never wanted to kill her. Otherwise, she would have been dead long ago."

There was no expression on Fury's dark face. He still looked like he had his eyes closed and was waiting to die.

Seeing him play dead, Natasha laughed and cursed in Russian before continuing, "All right, great romantic. Now that you've survived this disaster, what are you going to do next? Do you need me to track her down and eliminate her?"

"No. Let Howard and me discuss it first."

What followed was a long silence.

The wind from the vent on the cockpit glass blew Fury's hair around. It annoyed him immensely, as if someone were scratching at the top of his head. It was unbearable.

Then, all of a sudden, he understood. He had been bringing these troubles upon himself.

So, in a single instant, he decided to eliminate the source of his troubles. He no longer wanted hair!
