While Tony was pinning all sorts of crimes on Jasper and her husband through sheer imagination, Cassandra, far away in Germany, was doing the same thing.
The difference was that she suspected her parents' deaths might have had something to do with the Starks, and she had decided to take revenge.
She felt that something was wrong with her memories. The last thing she remembered was arguing with Tony at the docks. When she came back to herself, she was in her bedroom at home, and the bodyguards told her that her parents had been invited to the United States by the Starks to discuss the marriage, where something had happened. No bodies had been found.

Tony clearly knew that his father hated her family. Calling it a discussion about marriage had definitely been ill-intentioned, yet he had still let Howard deceive her parents into going to the United States. He was an accomplice too.
