An electronics store was, plainly put, a place that sold mobile phones. The main phones of this era were brick phones, including those made by Stark Industries and off-brand models from other manufacturers.

People could choose a suitable phone based on their financial situation, but for someone like Carol, who did not have a penny to her name, she chose to take them all.

"Think, think carefully. Ugh! Damn it!"

She crushed the communicator on the left sleeve of her Kree Empire uniform and tossed it aside. Holding a brick phone, she kept dialing numbers. Phones of every brand lay scattered around her in ones and twos.

These things looked like telephones, but after fiddling with them for quite a while, she still could not find where to insert coins.

She had asked a security guard earlier and confirmed that this was indeed Earth. She had also asked where she could find a telephone, and he had pointed her here.

But who knew how long she had been away from Earth? Why did phones nowadays not only lack landlines, but also have no coin slots? How was she supposed to use them?

"You can get a prepaid phone card from the counter. If you're trendy enough, you can even pay online—provided you have a registered phone number linked to your driver's license."

As she crouched in a corner with her head lowered, fiddling with the brick phone, a hoarse voice came from behind her.

She jolted and spun around into a defensive stance. A tall figure floated in midair behind her, silently hovering there as red light gleamed in the darkness.

"Deathstroke? You really exist?"

Carol recognized him. Though she remained on guard and her face was full of disbelief, she recognized him.

Behind his mask, Su Ming frowned slightly.
