There were many kinds of Zerg in the Marvel Universe. Even Su Ming could not say exactly how many. Some possessed high intelligence, while others were nothing more than mindless, crazed beasts.
The more famous ones were the Brood, the Annihilation Swarm, and the Extermination Swarm. The latter two lived in the Negative Zone, another science-oriented dimension. Though a few occasionally slipped into the Main Dimension, they posed no real threat for now.
Though the Annihilation Swarm had "swarm" in its name, its preferred tactic was overwhelming numbers backed by high technology. During an assault, they used endless hordes of mindless biochemical beasts as the vanguard, followed by their proper swarm armies operating starships and all manner of advanced weaponry.
The vanguard alone usually numbered in the billions. Ordinary planets simply could not withstand them, not to mention their Biochemical Weapons, Annihilation Wave, planet-killing warships, and other technological equipment.
Then there was the Annihilation Swarm King who commanded them, a cosmic-level powerhouse with strength roughly equivalent to 1.5 "Eaters."
"Eater" was Marvel's unit for measuring combat power. Saying that a creature had one "Eater" meant it possessed the strength of one Planet Eater.
The Extermination Swarm was more traditional. The Brood Queen ruled the hive, and they followed the path of biological evolution. Every offspring was controlled by the Brood Queen's Hive Mind.
More than feeding, the Brood Queen loved evolution. As long as she could eat good things, the hive could continuously evolve and reproduce. It did not even matter whether the individual Zerg had food themselves.
