Cloak flew back. It had found the Kree transport ship, hovering invisibly above the sea.
Su Ming gave Carol a quick instruction, then began flying back and forth to carry the unconscious people over. He placed the blue-skinned people aboard first, then set several canisters of Kree Crystal in the ship's hold.
"Hey! There are way too many of them! Wait!"
Carol merely swept her gaze around and saw hundreds of bugs slowly closing in from every direction.
Her home stood on a small seaside hill on a peninsula, practically like a lighthouse by the shore. There was no suitable defensive terrain at all.
She set down the cat in her arms and sent it hurrying back into the house. Raising a hand, she manifested her uniform and charged into battle with the approaching bugs. They wielded all manner of weapons, leaving her somewhat overwhelmed.
Every time she fired a beam and vaporized several bugs, even more came rushing out of the woods, surging forward one after another.
Fortunately, the Brood were not the Destruction Brood. They could not fly on their own and had to use Flying Vehicles. That was at least a small blessing amid disaster.
Even so, she had been hit several times. Her home was right behind her, so she did not dare use any high-powered attacks.
"Which button activates the Kree ship's autopilot?"
Su Ming flew back from the sea and asked Mary, who was hovering high above.
"A military transport? The long button on the central console, the one with glowing Kree Script on it. Once pressed, the ship will enter jump preparation for a short time and take the passengers back to Hala."
