Su Ming slowly rolled down the car window, letting the wind from the fields wash over his armor. The scent of soil and the breath of the forest relaxed him somewhat.
"I don't care what he thinks. But be careful—he isn't alone. He brought a special unit, and he has spies inside the United States. Otherwise, he couldn't possibly have found the exact method for contacting Voyager 1 at Cape Canaveral."
"Do you know him?"
Steve asked again, pressing down harder on the accelerator. Cape Canaveral was still far away. He needed to borrow a plane from a military base.
"No, but becoming a Herald of Galactus earns him an enormous amount of Cosmic Energy. You'll be facing a planet-level Super Villain. Be careful."
"What about you? You're not coming with us?"
Deathstroke sounded as though he intended to leave, and Steve was understandably a little alarmed.
"The four of you only need to deal with one Herald of Galactus, while I have to deal with several of them in space, plus Galactus himself. Want to switch?" Su Ming scoffed as he flew out through the window.
Even if Steve wanted to switch, he couldn't. Cap still lacked the ability to fight in space.
"I don't know what these Heralds of Galactus or Galactus are, but I understand. Be careful."
Steve was not one to dawdle. Having understood the cause, the consequences, and the problems they might face, he nodded firmly and watched Deathstroke depart.
