This wasn't the first time Su Ming had charged toward a star. The last one had been the purple-glowing Eclipsed Star; this time, it was a natural celestial body.
The light grew increasingly blinding, and Strangle warned him that the temperature was rising frantically. Even the vacuum of space could not block a star's heat.
Pink prominences erupted from the fireball before being drawn back in. Those massive fire dragons resembled living things from the Nine Hells, as if warning Deathstroke not to come closer. Every movement brimmed with terrifying energy.
Fortunately, Strangle had evolved fire immunity, allowing Su Ming to remain near the star and observe the source of life for this planetary system from such close range.
The tiny cloaked figure was utterly insignificant beside the star, no more than a Little Black Spot. Yet every creature witnessing this scene—whether Carol, Black Bolt, or the Zerg watching the monitors aboard their ships—felt the same way.
This man might be even stronger than the star.
"It feels like I'm in a sauna. Your fire immunity is real, but your insulation needs an upgrade."
Though Deathstroke was the center of attention, he was inwardly complaining to Strangle. It was genuinely hot. In only a few seconds, he felt as though he were about to dehydrate.
"Eek!"
Strangle sent back a coquettish emotion. It wanted that too, but it had not eaten the relevant genes. What was it supposed to do?
Besides, the temperature around the star was already above six thousand degrees. The surface temperature of the host it protected was only around seventy degrees. That was already good enough.
"Fine, I was just saying. Carol and the others can't hold them off for much longer. Some of the Zerg ships have already started moving again. Let's get to work."
