Because Cyborg's entire body had been metalized, leaving only half his head, he had no sex hormones in his body at all. He had no interest whatsoever in the opposite sex. In his view, Barry and Jessica crying, laughing, and embracing each other was purely a waste of time.
But the human side of him objected to Mother Box's judgment. A friend returning from the dead really was something worth celebrating.
And he could tell from the current situation that Jessica had truly died once. This was not some prank by Deathstroke.
But why had Jessica looked at him, then gazed silently and lovingly at Barry? Were the two of them planning to stare at each other beside the coffin all day?
"Ahem. Jesse, what exactly happened while we were fighting Darkseid?"
A peculiar sour stench filled the warehouse. Cyborg felt as though even his body was about to corrode, so he hurriedly interrupted the pair's affectionate gaze and asked his question.
At the mention of her death, Jessica shuddered and fell out of the joy of reuniting with Barry.
That sensation of her body burning from the inside out, and that world of utter darkness after death—she truly did not want to remember it.
But she still gathered her thoughts. Wiping the water from her face and neck, she answered, "All of you were controlled by Darkseid and turned into his New Gods. He wanted me to surrender, but Green Lanterns never surrender. I wanted to defeat him, but I failed. Wait, have you turned back?"
She did not mention that Cyborg had attacked her after being controlled, because he had been controlled. It was not his fault.
Even though Jessica had glossed over it, Cyborg could roughly guess what had happened. His dark face was full of shame.
