This was a biological resource planet—simply put, a gigantic zoo. No decent civilization had ever emerged here, but the planet contained forty billion different species of flora and fauna, forming a complete and unique ecological chain. That was why Brainiac had collected it.
This planet was only slightly larger than Earth, so its orbital and rotational periods, atmospheric thickness, and other living conditions were similar to Earth's. Ordinary humans, however, had almost no chance of surviving here, because even a mosquito ranked higher than humans in the food chain.
