The flames in the fire pit leaped and churned, making the two shadows twist constantly across the ground like crawling snakes.

They greeted each other, their voices equally hoarse and grim.

Even knowing his enemy had arrived, the Cosmic Tyrant still had no intention of turning around, as though no one was worth his notice. "A Deathstroke from a Parallel World. Interesting. Perhaps your name isn't Slade either?"

"A name is only a label. It was never important. You only need to know that I'm here, and I'm here to negotiate terms with you." Su Ming calmly approached with the greatsword in hand, speaking as casually as if making small talk.

"Heh. Human humor." Darkseid turned around, a faint smile hanging on his gray, cracked face. "I have fought the Justice League many times. Humans always make me laugh. You use your meager knowledge to speculate about a god. Is that reliable? No. It is merely your wishful fantasy."

"I'm different from them." Su Ming stopped, maintaining a distance of around twenty meters between them. He drove the Nightfall Greatsword into the ground with a backhanded motion, resting one hand on its hilt while raising the other to tap his helmet. "I know everything you want."

Darkseid stood with his hands behind his back, his legs slightly apart. "I understand your implication. Otherwise, you could not have become my guest and reached this place. You have some value. Hand over your memories in exchange for the survival of yourself and your friends. Accompany me beyond the universe to weather the coming crisis. That is the best outcome any intelligent being can foresee."

Su Ming laughed
