Mandrakk was a terrifying creature, hailed as the pinnacle of DC Vampires.
Compared to ordinary Vampires that fed on human blood, he stood far above them, because he was a monster that drank the blood of countless multiverses.
Simply put, his food was the Bleed Layer.
DC's multiverses were basically created according to the same pattern: first, Heavenly Blood was used to create a plate—the Blood Domain—then Parallel Worlds were molded and placed upon it, together forming a multiverse.
Mandrakk drinking Heavenly Blood meant completely "killing" a multiverse. That meant he was at least Megaverse Level, even stronger than Perpetua, who was of the same level yet had been imprisoned within the multiverse for countless years.
DC originally had no distinction called "Megaverse," but after Su Ming arrived, he still felt it would be easier to calculate if it matched Marvel's system.
There were two accounts of Mandrakk's origin. One claimed that certain fragments of the Monitor were tempted by the darkness beyond the Source Wall, tasted Heavenly Blood, and then fell into becoming Mandrakks with endless appetites.
Another account claimed that he was an ultimate demon from the "Abyss" or "the Void," existing at a level clearly higher than even the tenth dimension. With only whispers, he could influence the minds of the Monitor's fragments and turn them into puppets.
Su Ming personally believed both accounts were true. Perhaps the real Mandrakk did exist on a higher level, while the Mandrakks that had appeared throughout history were merely his fragments.
This was not uncommon in neighboring Marvel. For example, Otherworld Merlyn had countless fragments. That whole family of "Eternity" and "Infinity" also possessed different fragments in different multiverses.
That was not very important. All that mattered was that in the past, even universes created by Perpetua had been like
