Perpetua raised her head to watch the black lightning flashing across the sky, as well as the Anti-Mother Box structures woven into a red grid. She nodded with a measure of approval.

"Using energy to support a Hyper space structure, the life-form called Darkseid has touched upon the threshold of creating a universe. He could be called a genius among lesser beings."

Luthor smiled but did not reply. In truth, he believed he was the true genius. If he had accumulated knowledge for as long as Darkseid had, he would surely have surpassed him by far.

Mother of the Multiverse did not even look at Luthor's expression. She merely controlled the throne as it carried her slowly forward, surveying the empty, chaotic streets as she delivered her next assessment:
