The private bedroom was a product of Space Magic and exceptionally soundproofed. Fortunately, Crookshanks had licked her awake beforehand.
Ravenclaw students had no need to use communal washrooms. Every bedroom came with its own bathroom. There had been none when the school was first founded, but students were always conducting experiments in the Ravenclaw common room, causing all kinds of accidents that trapped other students in the communal washrooms.
Only later had the headmistress changed the layout, allowing the students to live more conveniently.
The private bathroom in the dormitory had large and small taps enchanted with a permanent Aguamenti spell, as well as all manner of Magic Items needed for daily life.
Though there was only a shower, Hermione thought of Professor Wilson as she bathed. At least he had not lied when he said Ravenclaw had the best accommodations.
Once the bedroom curtains were drawn open, she could directly see the Forbidden Forest and the Black Lake, as well as the distant village and the green mountains on the horizon. Everything was as beautiful as an oil painting.
After waking up in a bedroom like this and breathing in the fresh morning air from outside, Hermione's doubts from last night about whether she had been sorted into the wrong house had completely vanished.
She had originally thought this did not seem like a place where one could study properly. After all, it supported skipping class and even provided ways to violate school rules. It looked like the sort of thing only bad children would do.
