First-year students only had afternoon classes three days a week. After lunch on the other days, they were free to move around the school.

Aside from that, there was a Ravenclaw astronomy class on Thursday nights, which required them to go to the Astronomy Tower at midnight.

Potions Class passed without incident. When class ended, Snape squinted at Hermione and Hannah's workstation for quite a while before finally awarding her one point and waving them off.

During the following break, Hermione looked around for her professor, but unsurprisingly, there were only a few older students by the Black Lake.

She knew he had slipped into the Forbidden Forest to smoke during the break again.

It left her especially speechless, because after finishing his cigarette, the professor would surely "get lost" for another ten minutes or so before coming out to teach another class. But she could not enter or leave the Forbidden Forest without his permission, much less wait for him by the lake. That would make her late too.

So she could only head to Flying Class unwillingly.

She really had no affinity for magical brooms. Even after all this time since the start of term, she could barely make one hover half a meter above the ground, then sit on it and fly slowly for a while. It was completely different from everyone else.

The Flying Class professor believed Hermione had a fear of heights, which made her instinctively reject flying.

The little girl did not argue. In truth, she did not reject flying at all; she simply disliked Flying Broomsticks.

After dawdling for quite a while, no matter how hard she tried, the broom would not listen to her. Hermione had more or less given up, only hoping that the professor would get her a flying carpet
