Early the next morning, when the first rays of sunlight streamed into the Speaker's office, the figure sitting in the chair, looking like a red-eyed zombie, finally moved.

Overnight, the Magic World of the United States seemed to have changed completely. All kinds of incidents erupted across the country, while Grindelwald's Deathly Hallows Mark floated in the sky over every state.

The secrecy of the Magic World was hanging by a thread. More and more Muggles needed their memories wiped, while Aurors rushed everywhere, busy repairing damaged buildings.

Everyone was so busy their feet barely touched the ground. Kowalski had even sent out the Half-Goblins at headquarters who were practically Squibs, all to deal with the sewer system Grindelwald had altered in New York City.

What had happened was not quite the Dark Lord's usual style, but perhaps decades in prison had given him too many ideas, all of which were bursting out at once. He had actually used Tenser's Transformation to connect sewage pipes throughout New York to the water supply. Now, whenever Muggles turned on the tap at home, shit came pouring out.

It was obvious that the Muggle government had been bombarded with calls as well. That meant the Aurors had to avoid the FBI, the NSA, the police, and other personnel while working, raising the difficulty by another level.

Although the Magical Congress had tens of thousands of employees, more than any other magical institution in the world, and Grindelwald was only one man, nobody could catch him.

The first Dark Lord was as familiar with the United States as if he had returned home. He Apparated wildly across the country. One moment he would strike in Baltimore, and the next he would appear in San Francisco, with no pattern whatsoever.
