Post-Match Chaos

The match had shown signs of spiraling out of control from the very beginning. The two teams' mascots had even started fighting, and Bulgaria's mascots had been expelled from the field.

Harry took it as an ill omen.

The result was much the same. Although Bulgaria's star Seeker, Krum, caught the Golden Snitch, Ireland won by ten points.

The match had lasted only a little over an hour, an exceptionally short duration even among historical finals. It had ended far too quickly.

Harry had been preoccupied with his thoughts, and before he knew it, the match was over. Swept along by his friends, he left the stadium with the crowd in a daze.

Ron was still excited, saying that the magical binoculars he had borrowed money from Harry to buy before the match had been incredibly useful. His brothers were also eagerly discussing the thrilling moments they had just seen.

Sirius rubbed Harry's head, thinking that Harry's listlessness was probably because he was sleepy.

Thinking about it, if he had been having strange dreams every night these past few days, it really would be exhausting.

"We'll head back to the tent now, get you something for a late-night snack, and then you can sleep."

"Thanks, Godfather. My head does feel a little foggy."

Harry did not refuse the kindness, though he knew he was merely tired at heart.

As they walked along the lantern-lit path through the grass, hoarse singing echoed everywhere, while Ireland's constantly cackling Leprechauns flew back and forth above them.

Yet once everyone reached the large tent, no one felt like sleeping. People outside kept making an enormous racket, and Mr. Weasley had no choice but to agree to let the children have another cup of cocoa and chat for a while longer before bed.
