The heavy rain showed no sign of stopping. The grass beneath their feet seemed soaked through, and Hermione could feel water seeping into her little boots, chilling her toes.
Kill someone?
Her gaze passed through the glowing web woven from traces of magic, over the mangled yet still snarling corpses, and settled on the man in black robes.
That deathly pale bald head, that noseless face, those snake-like eyes, and that elegant, mild-mannered mouth spewing obscenities...
"Oh, I can kill this one. He doesn't even count as a person."
Hermione immediately relaxed. Hearing that she was supposed to kill someone had made her somewhat resistant at first, but once she looked at the target, that resistance completely vanished. She even reached out, intending to ask her professor for the Gauss Rifle.
Just as planned. This was the killing curve Su Ming had arranged for Hermione back in her first year. With today's events as a beginning, she would have no psychological burden when killing others in the future.
"Don't rush. I booked a TV host. Killing Voldemort needs to be publicized. I'm planning to have you graduate from Hogwarts at the end of this term, then build up some credentials at the International Confederation of Wizards. Maybe you can become its president someday."
"Isn't Principal Dumbledore the current president?" Hermione knew that much. The principal was considered the greatest wizard of the century, and everyone agreed he deserved that position.
"Old Dumbledore will soon retire with Grindelwald and go live like an immortal couple in some secluded paradise. Nothing else matters anymore." Su Ming waved carelessly and pointed at Grindelwald beside him.
The first Dark Lord winked at Hermione. "Don't blame me, little girl. Hiding my identity while teaching you magic was your professor's idea."
Hermione smiled and shook her
