"Don't run!"
With people using their lives to hold back Iron Man, Cassandra quickly caught up to Tony. The only thing on his crude armor that could count as a weapon was a Flamethrower, which offered practically no effective medium- or long-range combat capability.
Most of the time, he charged straight through the enemy's hail of bullets, then punched them with his huge iron fists. It was not very efficient.
But from that moment on, he fell in love with the feeling of brawling with others while wearing high-tech armor. Though there was still a layer between them, it let a frail scholar like him experience the thrill of every punch landing solidly on flesh.
Hearing Cassandra shouting behind him, Tony felt it might be necessary to install some sound-filtering equipment in future suits. With bullets clanging against him nonstop, the inside of the armor sounded like beans being violently stir-fried. It was inconvenient even to talk to someone.
But with the armor on, Tony had no intention of turning back. If he really stayed, Cassandra would probably turn him into a human swine.
"Sorry, darling. I just remembered I forgot to bring in the laundry at home!"
Could Cassandra possibly believe such nonsense? In her eyes, Tony was leaving her once again. No matter the reason, he was going. He was gone. Everything was gone.
"You damned arms dealer! Why can't you sell your company like I did?! You're the source of all this misery! Do you have to make all that money?! Stay with me!!!"
She truly wanted to "keep" Tony. In her rage, she raised an anti-tank rocket launcher and fired a round at his back.
Though he dodged with all his might and avoided a direct hit, the armor had only been made from ordinary steel.
