Coulson released the strap in his hand and lightly patted away dust that wasn't there.

"The target cut through these restraint straps with a knife. Looks like he escaped through the back door." He raised a brow at the psychiatric hospital orderly standing by the wall. Though he had another suspicion, he had no evidence and said nothing. He merely asked, "When was the last time you noticed that blond man? Did anyone else enter this room?"

"We found him gone during the noon rounds. If an outsider did come in, they definitely didn't use the front entrance," the orderly answered.

Coulson glanced at the footprints on the floor. Besides those of the orderly and the burly man, there was also a strange set of tiny footprints. Whoever had left them seemed to have been walking on tiptoe the whole time. A thief?

"So? Agent Coulson, now you know we weren't lying, right? When can you give us our vehicle back?" Jane asked anxiously. The vehicle held the astronomy research materials the three of them had accumulated over the years, along with plenty of expensive equipment. Much of it had been rented. They couldn't let the Men in Black damage it.

Going to the police station to give statements after hitting someone and saving him last night had already been unlucky enough.
