Meanwhile, on Titan, with Adam's help, Thanos frantically dug into the ground with both hands like a gopher, flinging construction materials and stones torn apart by brute force far behind him.
After quite a while, he suddenly stopped. A look of delight appeared on his face, and even his purple hands trembled.
He slowly bent down and retrieved a small sphere from beneath the ruins.
The thing was inconspicuous, looking as though it were made of countless silver metal wires wound together. Thanos twisted it open as if cracking a walnut and glanced inside. A streak of colorful light suddenly emerged from the gap.
He roared and forcefully snapped it shut, then threw back his head and laughed until he was swaying on his feet. Only then did he rise satisfactorily and say to the Sorcerer floating nearby, "Yes, I remembered correctly. It really is the thing my father once showed me."
"Oh, congratulations."
Adam yawned, looking utterly uninterested. He preferred watching Thanos kill people or get hunted down, rather than such a boring process of digging a hole.
"You should be happy for me, idiot." Thanos gripped the sphere as though he held the entire universe in his hand. "With this, my wonderful future with Cyheera is one step closer. It is power, unrivaled power."
"Actually, it isn't. It's the Soul one." Adam spoke frankly; he had never been polite with Thanos. "It's extremely dangerous. I can feel it—it seems alive. I don't think your imaginary girlfriend would like this thing."
"She really exists!" Thanos glared at Adam. Others could not see Death, but it was enough that he could see her himself!
"Fine, if you say she's real, then she's real." Adam turned away and began whistling, muttering under his breath, "...Once you get the Reality Gem."
