The Milky Way Galaxy, tens of millions of light-years away.
On an incomparably prosperous mechanical planet, there was a civilization that followed technology as its primary path of development.
The species on this planet had cast off primitive physical labor hundreds of thousands of years ago, handing all work over to robots and truly achieving the modest goal of spending every day eating, drinking, and having fun.
Robots supported this society, using the fruits of their labor to sustain their masters' civilization. Over the long years, their masters had even undergone limb degeneration, becoming like bamboo poles topped with oversized heads.
Let us pick one individual from this civilization and turn our attention toward him.
This planet had a unified nation, and identical names were forbidden within it. Thus, the selected individual possessed a name composed of several hundred random characters—at the very least, humans would never have been able to pronounce such syllables.
Names were how living individuals addressed and distinguished one another. In any civilization not governed by a Hive Mind or Format Network, biological individuals had their own names.
Yet on this planet, a name's greatest purpose was as internet credentials. The residents here never needed to leave home; they only had to lie in bed and rest every day. Robots handled everything for them, so naturally, there was no need for anyone else to call their names.
This race looked somewhat like a hybrid of Skrulls and Mantis People. Besides their green skin, they had enormous eyes and four arms.
So, let us first name this selected creature "Little Green."
Little Green woke once again in his luxurious ten-square-meter room. He still wore a smile, as though he had been having a beautiful dream.
The planet's population had exploded. Fortunately, everyone had their own ten-square-meter room
