If Efferal had not possessed psychic protection and a sufficiently steadfast will, she would likely have been corrupted long ago through her daily contact with the daemon.
There was not much else to say in the end. The Inquisitor exposed her, she revealed her true form before everyone's eyes, and was then killed and purified by the sisters with Flamethrowers.
It was then that Efferal came to understand that the corruption of Chaos had never been far from humanity. Perhaps one careless moment was all it took to become a foul fiend.
