"You're back so soon? Did you find a restroom?"
Back in the prayer room, Efferal was still by the table, eating like a little squirrel. She seemed to have been considering relieving herself as well.
Everyone had such basic physiological needs. Even pure and virtuous sisters could not entirely transcend them.
"No. I just found a corner and took care of it." Su Ming looked relaxed, as though he had truly gone to relieve himself. "But the Space Marines seem to have started clearing the relay tower. You should hold it in a little longer."
"Oh, then have something to eat too. We're actually still surrounded, and there are too many alien monsters on this planet."
She rubbed her white mushroom-shaped hair and pushed half the food in front of her toward him.
"This is for you. I still have more. Relax a little—Space Marines have the most experience with being surrounded. Most of the time, that's how they enter a battlefield."
Su Ming took out a bottle of mineral water, pretended to wash his hands, then sat down and pulled out more food and drinks, eating alongside the sister.
But before the two had eaten for long, two tower-like figures appeared outside the door.
"Deathstroke, have you seen my little pups?"
Wolf Lord Gunnar crouched down and squeezed through the doorway. His Terminator shoulder plate knocked another chunk off the doorframe, and his massive body made the little prayer room feel even more cramped.
The moment he entered, he urgently asked whether they had seen his missing brother. His booming voice made their ears ache.
"Hm? I did hear your men entering the tower, but didn't they head to the higher floors?" Su Ming wiped his mouth and frowned slightly.
Chaplain Orpheus poked his head in through the doorway.
