They claimed they were going to deal with the Necrons and compete in the enemy-killing contest, but whenever the Space Marines spotted them, the pair were either eating and drinking atop the relay tower or taking a leisurely stroll along the edges of some battlefield.

They did not seem anxious in the slightest.

The Space Wolves and Dark Angels, on the other hand, took this competition very seriously. Neither side wanted to lose to the other, so despite their limited forces, they carried out several flanking and encirclement operations, wiping out large numbers of enemies.

Another week passed like this. The planet had completely lost its daytime. No matter when one looked up, the sky was covered in dark clouds, and corrosive acid rain fell from them.
