Misunderstandings were relatively easy to explain. After all, Logan's sense of smell was exceptionally sharp, and he truly hadn't detected any suspicious scent. Now that Storm had spoken, he immediately knew the professor was controlling her.
Though Wolverine was deeply annoyed by Charles treating people like puppets, he still walked into the room.
As he passed Su Ming, he suddenly leaned in, twitched his nose a few times, and his eyes lit up. "That's Natasha's scent."
"You're an expert, huh? You've lost your memories so many times, yet you still remember her smell?" Su Ming pushed the Little Dwarves' head away. After spending some time at Fenris's place, he had developed a bit of wolf fatigue.
Logan's memory was better than Wade's. Although Romulus tampered with him every so often, he could still remember certain crucial things.
The memories weren't very clear, just vague impressions.
"I'm her uncle." Logan looked at the professor's reaction, then asked, "Has she been doing well lately?"
"At least much better than you. Let's talk business now. Why did you come looking for Charles?"
Reminded of the matter, Logan's face fell again, and his small eyes turned toward the calm-faced Storm.
Then he sensed that something was off and lowered his head to look at the professor lying there. But that was merely an unconscious man, with his mind residing in Storm's body. So after repeatedly raising and lowering his head, Logan still spoke to Ororo.
"Professor, what exactly is going on with Jean? She—no, that terrifying thing that isn't her—what is it?"
Wolverine was also a beast, with an extremely sharp sixth sense. When Jean lost control, Logan had instantly felt it while sleeping in his own dorm room. He woke from his dream, leapt from bed, smashed through the window, and ran out.
