Back then, Earth was home to another mysterious race called the Yithians. They could see the future and travel back and forth through time.
They recorded the events of ancient Earth onto a stone tablet called the 'Manuscript of Knowledge.' Avoiding the Old Ones' notice, they sent the tablet into the future along another Timeline.
A 31st Century mage named Sise-Neg obtained it.
In the future of that Timeline, humanity had become an incredibly advanced magical civilization. Nearly everyone could be called a god, while the Sorcerer Supreme was incomparably powerful—the kind who could erase a multiverse without even needing to snap his fingers.
He received the tablet and saw humanity's suffering in the past. After all, when looking back into the past from a certain downstream Time Stream, everyone's fate branched off from the same main trunk.
So he entered his own Time Booth and went straight to that dark era.
He worked with the Earth Ancient Gods and drove back the Old Ones during that Dimensional War. By erasing and reshaping multiple dimensions, he managed to kill some of the Old Ones.
Unfortunately, those things came from primordial Chaos and disorder. They were reborn as spiritual entities with multiversal singularity, existing by attaching themselves to the entire Omniverse.
Thus, Sise-Neg had no particularly good solution. He could only retake control of Earth, then obscure it from the Old Ones' sight and make them forget that a planet had ever existed there.
After driving away the Old Ones, the Earth Ancient Gods of the Main Dimension broke out into civil war—the great battle of Oshtur and Gaea against Chthon and Set.
In the end, the Kushites were nearly wiped out, Earth was destroyed and reborn countless times, and Dormammu and his sister were still merely mortal sorcerers struggling to
