Ancient Greek architecture had a distinctive feature: temples and theaters often had neither doors nor thresholds, only tall doorways.

They believed that citizens should all have the freedom to enjoy faith and art.

This was much like the public baths and public toilets of later Ancient Rome. Such places needed no doors, because people came and went all day long, and installing doors would have been too troublesome.

Before Deathstroke and Doctor Doom stood a temple. Yet after passing through the tall doorway and entering the pitch-black interior, neither recognized the statue standing directly ahead of them.
