After passing through layer upon layer of boxes and expending an unknown number of probes, the four of them finally reached the end of Infinity Crossroads and arrived in the unique space known as Paradise.
This place was far larger than the previous boxes, roughly the size of the Solar System. The Tayanans' homeworld hung at the center of the space, and they had even created an artificial sun for illumination.
The planet had been completely metalized. Dozens of inverted-cone thrusters that had once propelled it were clearly visible even from afar, their enormous hollows seeming to bore deep into the sphere, pitch-black within.
Doctor Doom sent out probes to investigate the planet's surface. What everyone saw were empty cities and streets as silent as death.
The Tayanans' technological advancement was beyond imagination. Even ordinary residential buildings possessed spatial folding devices, while the signal towers and optical road signs of the three-dimensional transit system still blinked on and off, faithfully doing their jobs.
The only problem was that all the people were gone, while the city itself remained completely intact.
That was what Doom found strange.
Su Ming remained calm. He took out a cigarette, lit it, and crossed his arms as he watched the ground footage. "Tayanan weapons differ from those of conventional civilizations. They don't like expansion or bloodshed, so they have no weapons of mass destruction. Even when they want to erase a life, they choose a very 'harmonious' method.
