Daisy's intuition was right once again. Accompanied by a furious roar that shook heaven and earth, an incomparably massive Bio-ship emerged from the Spatial Rift.
It was so huge that it blocked out the already dim sunlight over all of Manhattan. The streets became as dark as night, and everyone involuntarily looked up, mouths agape at this biological wonder.
It was not just this giant warship that had arrived. It had also brought a second wave of Bio-ships. Those monsters surged toward Carol, Vision, and the others as though they feared no death, linking head to tail as if they meant to tie down every flying superhero.
But they did not obstruct Magneto's team, as though he had not yet made it onto their threat list.
"Is it just me, or does the Spatial Rift seem to be getting bigger and bigger?"
Daisy's expression was grave beneath her half-face helmet. The opening was now wide enough for a warship of this scale to pass through. That giant bug was probably even bigger than the Shi'ar Empire's palace mothership.
Falcon, beside her, raised a hand and spread his palm, measuring a few times before letting out a whistle.
"You're right, Ms. Thunderbolt. While we've been fighting the bugs, the Spatial Rift has been secretly expanding! At first, when I stood on the street and looked up, the Great Maelstrom's diameter looked about as long as my palm. But now, it's at least tripled."
Though she could be a little scatterbrained at times, Daisy was still a doctor. She quickly calculated the Great Maelstrom's rate of expansion.
