Even though Phoenix had merely flown over and restrained her energy emissions, the city's temperature still soared madly. The flowers, grass, and trees in the park on the corner instantly curled their leaves and wilted.

That enormous bird-shaped sun radiated terrifying light and heat. Compared to the Phoenix Force, even the Spatial Rift's might seemed utterly unremarkable.
