Although Doom had not seen exactly what had happened, he knew Deathstroke had been standing by, watching the show. He had only acted once he was certain of victory. Put simply, he had allowed New York to become the ghostly mess it was now.
Wanda had only seen the latter half. By the time she arrived, Deathstroke had already been figuring out how to act. Although she could see through smoke and intense light, she had no idea what the Cosmic Cube was. All she saw was the Sorcerer Supreme pull out a blue cube, and the bugs flee in terror. It made no sense at all.
