After explaining to the drooling young widow that they were going to discuss business in the back, Jesse led Deathstroke and the other three toward the rear of the church. After passing through the cluttered preparation room, they found a windowless storage room.

The angels were slightly uncomfortable. The scent of vampires made them feel ill at ease, but they remembered what Deathstroke had told them before coming here: keep their mouths shut.

So the two merely hugged the Cookie Box tightly and stood behind the mortal like wooden posts.

Jesse pushed open the storage room door, and a wave of dust and stench rolled out. The vampire was not sleeping in any coffin. He simply lay quietly on a bed with a magazine full of scantily clad women covering his face.

He did not breathe, nor did he have a pulse. He looked as if he were dead.

The difference was that the moment he heard someone open the door, he sprang up. Getting out of bed was much more convenient than climbing out of a coffin.

His first reaction upon seeing the angels was to bare his fangs, but after noticing one of his own kind traveling with angels, he still gave the visitors a chance to explain.

"Alright, now that everyone's identities are more or less exposed, let's speak frankly." Su Ming looked at the stunned Jesse and laid his cards on the table. "Priest, as you can see, Cassidy and I are vampires, while the two behind me are angels."

"...!!!"

Jesse could only stare blankly with his eyes wide open, having no idea how to react.

His lifelong habit of drinking since childhood had practically ruined his brain. Now, faced with these supernatural beings appearing before him, his mind went completely blank.
