The man who stepped in was Dr. Michael Amar, an acquaintance of the Flash Family. Codenamed The Whisperer, he had once been a member of the Rogues.
After knocking Double Down out, he gave the man another kick, then carried his tray of burgers and soda over to greet Wally.
"Mmff mmff! Mm, mmff!"
Wally had never imagined he would be saved by a villain, much less one he had personally sent here. Though he had often heard Barry say that the Rogues were actually decent people, this was the first time he had felt it so directly.
"Uh, thanks."
"Mm, mm."
The doctor nodded, though it was impossible to know what he meant. Then he turned and left without hesitation, his back in the orange prison uniform seeming exceptionally tall.
The Whisperer had once been a renowned surgeon in Central City, but because he could always hear someone in his head urging him to kill, he gradually became a serial killer. His signature method was cutting out his victims' tongues and taking them home to cook.
In the end, Barry caught him and sent him to Iron Heights in Central City. Having killed dozens of people, he was sentenced to death by lethal injection.
However, Michael's blood had a unique resistance to drugs. The lethal injection did not kill him; instead, it made him even more energetic.
The state where Central City was located had no other methods of execution. Hanging, electrocution, and firing squads had long since been abolished,
