Fury had mysteriously provided a set of coordinates. It was not anywhere special, merely a relatively secluded patch of woods near Triskelion Headquarters in Washington D.C.

Tony had spent an entire night and day waiting for news from Deathstroke, and he had been worrying over a lack of leads. He hurried here with Spider-Man in his arms. Though he kept insisting that he was not here to help, that was just his awkward personality—he often said the opposite of what he meant.

With a clank as his armor landed, Iron Man walked toward Fury, who stood not far away with his hands behind his back. Seeing Egghead about to speak, he quickly reached out and made a grabbing motion through the air.

"Don't talk to me. I haven't forgiven you yet. Now get out of the way and let me see the victim."

The Black director understood Tony's personality very well. He simply stepped aside, revealing the bushes behind him. After all, Tony showing up already meant he had won.

Tony lifted his faceplate and took a deep breath, asking Peter to stand back a little. Since the victim was someone he knew, he did not want too many people seeing the horribly mangled corpse—especially since Peter was still a minor.

An Alien corpse and a human corpse were, after all, two different things.

As he approached, Tony saw large patches of dark brown, dried blood beneath the grass. The bushes had clearly been crushed into a hollow, and the body should have been there.

He sighed inwardly. Which mutual friend of his and Fury's had met such a misfortune? Could it have been Captain America? Coulson? Bucky?
