The middle-aged agent was writing a report on his computer, leisurely typing as though he had not heard his partner.
Their work was similar to that of the police. They had fired their weapons today and killed an alien, which involved a minor diplomatic issue, so they needed to submit a written report. Later, the two of them would also need to undergo psychological counseling.
This was standard procedure. To prevent Men in Black agents from killing indiscriminately, every use of firearms had to be thoroughly explained. Lethal force could only be used as a last resort.
