The Broken Isles lay north of the Great Maelstrom. They had remained there ever since the Ancient Kalimdor Continent exploded.

Now, they were home not only to the Nightborne, former High Elf nobles, but also to a branch of the Minotaur, a branch of the Vrykul, some Night Elves who had survived back then, and the Naga and Murlocs found all across Azeroth.

But none of that had much to do with this trip. The Cloak of Levitation carried the group around Suramar and directly to Azsuna's southern coast. There stood Watchers' Isle, where Night Elf prisoners were held beneath the island, guarded by a Watchmen force that followed rules to the letter.

Whether demons captured during the great war ten thousand years ago, elves who had committed crimes in the past, or countless creatures seized from other worlds, all were imprisoned on separate underground levels, sealed inside enormous crystals using the ancient elves' special magic.

An inconspicuous little cave was the entrance to the Vault of the Wardens. Jaina, who had just learned from Hermione what stockings were, had finally lost the blush on her face as she studied the abyss before them, where not even light could be seen.

"There don't seem to be any signs of people living here."

"There are, actually. The Night Elf Watchmen are basically prison guards, and not particularly bright ones at that." Su Ming let the Cloak fly back onto his shoulder, removed his mask, and lit a cigarette. "They strictly follow an ancient prison guard manual, eating and living underground alongside the prisoners. Even the Night Elves' administrative orders can no longer affect them. Once criminals enter this place, they should forget about ever getting out, or they'll be hunted to the ends of the earth."

"Not as good as Arcatraz."
