The venue had been wrecked, and the blinding flare of electricity had nearly seared the eyes of every bystander, but Spider-Man was unharmed.
The moment his Spider-Sense sounded the alarm, his body had almost automatically begun evasive maneuvers. He fired Silk and retreated from the exhibition hall, avoiding the blast from the electric bomb.
After unleashing that attack, Electro was clearly running low on power. He looked utterly drained, physically and mentally, and was soon knocked down by Spider-Man, who had returned carrying a fire hose.
He watched as the high-pressure water cannon pinned Electro to the ground and blasted him relentlessly until he could no longer fight back.
After turning off the hose, Peter shivered and let out a pleasantly chilly tremble as he asked in a tone full of confusion,
"Buddy, now you're definitely going to jail. Generally speaking, your sentence is proportional to the value of the things you destroyed. But before they throw you into a 'private room,' there's something I don't understand. Since you aren't an Osborn Corporation employee, and it was the power company that fired you, why do you want Dr. Osborn to apologize to you?"
Without the electricity inside him, Electro was just an ordinary man. It was like all his reserves had been thoroughly drained, leaving him in a state of post-release exhaustion. Not only was his entire body weak, but he had also been blasted by a high-pressure water cannon for so long that the only thing he could move now was his mouth.
Gasping like a fish in a pond, he gave up struggling and answered, "I was struck by lightning on a telephone pole outside his company! Shouldn't he be responsible? There weren't even any Lightning Rods on his skyscraper! Damn it! He doesn't understand electricity!"
"Uh, this..."
