Upon seeing someone block her path, Queen Sat-Yr-9 immediately put away her grave expression and revealed a standard politician's smile, asking gently:
"Are you a Legion member? You look unfamiliar."
"I'm Spider-UK, from Earth-833." William answered anxiously, constantly waving his hands to lend weight to his words. "I need to report a Multiversal Timeline threat. In every different reality, the spiders are in grave danger."
Hearing this, the two women exchanged glances, both momentarily unable to process it.
Roma, with her family background, was the first to catch on. She tilted her head, and her pointed, elfin ears twitched.
"The spiders? You mean the totems?"
"Uh, I don't know if that's the right term. Anyway, Spider-Man, Spider-Woman, people like me... Oh, and all sorts of cartoon animals that can walk upright and talk, Lady Roma."
William was not a Mage, and he was still young. He could not truly determine what counted as a totem and what did not.
At that, Sat-Yr-9 simply rolled her eyes. The Omniverse was currently facing an invisible, terrifying Oblivion, a major crisis in which realities were vanishing one after another.
And here he was, making a fuss just because some people had died on Earth. Why was that worth bringing up?
"Don't bother me with such trivialities. I have the troubles of countless universes to resolve, and you came here to distract me over insects!" Sat-Yr-9 turned away with a scowl, flicking her white Cloak behind her as she shouted irritably, "Guards, throw him out! Stop wasting my time! We have a meeting to hold!"
The moment she finished speaking, seven or eight Captain Britains approached. They drew their respective Swords in the Stone, as though they were ready to get rough if William refused to cooperate.
"This way, sir."
