"Two Roys, exactly alike."
Su Ming held a wineglass in one hand and Little Dai's hand in the other, tilting his head as he carefully studied the two "twins" before him.
He had only seen them through Sepulk's surveillance before, so the image had not been especially clear. But at such close range, there truly was no difference that any human could find between them.
Even though Su Ming knew there had to be a difference, this was probably Hypertime instinctively sorting through Multiverse 1's storyline and eliminating logical paradoxes caused by Speed Force interference.
The result had conflicted with the storyline Deathstroke had altered, leading to this absurd situation of "counterparts from the same world."
In other words, if Earth-0 were compared to a computer system, there had originally been a "Roy program" in the Recycle Bin. But when the system automatically updated, it had also downloaded a "Roy backup" from the official website called "The Void."
To reduce logical discrepancies, the backup Roy's time of death might even have been within a quintillionth of a second of the other's. That was why the difference was nearly impossible for humans to detect.
Su Ming restored the Roy from the Recycle Bin using software called the "White Spectrum," while Hypertime still finished downloading the backup. Thus, the two Roys now existed within the system at the same time.
Hypertime really was worth studying. Perhaps it could connect all stories.
"This shouldn't have any negative impact on the rest of us." The Mercenary, playing dumb and saying nothing more, nodded at Green Arrow. He even shook hands with both Roys. "After all, we've gained an extra Superhero. What's the problem?"
