Panicked Beyond Measure

Oa Star had once been a thriving world. Though it had been destroyed time and again, it had always been rebuilt and revived.

The Little Blue Men might not have been good at much else, but when it came to infrastructure, they were true experts. They had pieced together architectural styles from across the universe into a bizarre mishmash.

Here, one could see Thanagarian pyramids, Coluan-style dense factories, Genesis's sharp spires, and more.

Yet aside from the council spires where the Little Blue Men themselves lived, virtually every other building glowed green. Staring at them for too long gave people a suffocating sense of oppression, as though they were living in a Green Hell.

Even Swamp Thing and Poison Ivy probably would not have liked this place. Oa was a fully urbanized planet, without so much as a blade of grass or any vegetation at all.

That was only natural. The Little Blue Men knew of The Green's existence and were terrified of it. How could they possibly allow such a threat to remain on their planet?

They had to make sure not a single blade of grass grew in their home.

Thus, Oa was left with nothing but artificial structures. Seen from the sky, its surface was a vast, utterly disorderly sea of buildings stretching all the way to the horizon.

No two neighboring buildings were ever alike, and even facilities with the same purpose had to be built differently. For instance, one small warehouse would be a square box, another a yurt, and a third a skyscraper.

There were no similarly styled buildings anywhere on the entire planet. It was enough to drive anyone with obsessive-compulsive disorder insane.

Probably only the sewers where Deathstroke's group was hiding had a consistent style across the world: simple, dark underground passages.
