Parallax was a problem, without a doubt. But from another angle, his threat level was not actually that high—perhaps not even as high as Mister Mxyzptlk's.
Because he had psychological flaws, Su Ming knew his background.
He had originally been born at a Time Point a thousand years in the future—the thirty-first century. His home was Earth-15, so strictly speaking, he was also a time traveler.
Earth-15 had been a beautiful, peaceful world. Though it had Superheroes, most of their conflicts were minor, with no truly serious events.
He and his mother had been scientists of that era. They discovered a peculiar electromagnetic wave spectrum, a complex force powered by every life-form in the Multiverse.
By harnessing that spectrum, his mother created a "Teleportation Lantern Battery," an experimental chamber-pot-shaped device roughly the size of a human lunar module. It allowed its user to ride inside it for travel across time and space, though it was far from reliable.
One day, a mysterious alien invader arrived in Parallax's homeland and destroyed his civilization.
Parallax never knew who had ruined his life, and he had spent all his time searching for that person, trying to change the Future fate of his homeland.
But Su Ming knew additional information. The one who destroyed Earth-15 was a Superboy-Prime from some point in Hypertime, an ultimate villain form controlled by DC editors, codenamed the "Time Trapper."
The Time Trapper's most famous battle was against Superboy-Prime. The two of them smashed through the Fourth Wall, and their battlefield even leveled the DC Editorial Department.
Superboy-Prime furiously cursed the melodramatic plot the editors had cooked up. He said he could never become such a villain in the Future. Was fighting his Future self supposed to be fun?! If they did not change it, he would kill them
