Deathstroke calmly finished reciting the Lantern Corps Oath, then threw a punch through the air at the Green Lantern Central Power Battery. Nothing visible happened; only a gale swept past. Then, the next second—
The Central Power Battery went dark. The black light drifting through the air around it seemed to have found an opening and began surging madly into the Battery. A bone-deep chill began to spread.
As though he had seen nothing, Deathstroke calmly turned to Sinestro and said, "The answer is in our hands. One look, and you understand, don't you?"
Sinestro looked at his fingers. They bore a Yellow Lantern Corps ring, a White Lantern ring, and a Black Lantern ring.
"I understand." He lowered his hand and returned to his arms-crossed posture. "You could have explained it clearly to Hal."
"And then what? Whether that hotheaded soldier is here makes no difference. He couldn't even handle me alone. Should I send him to his death?" Su Ming sneered, then looked at Kyle, who was still standing not far away in a daze, before nodding at Sinestro. "You're the only strongest Lantern I acknowledge, Sinestro."
The red-faced man was slightly moved, and a faint smile appeared on the half of his face that was still alive.
The Guardians had slandered him, Hal had replaced him, and even his daughter did not understand his choice. Yet words of recognition had come from the mouth of a Deathstroke he had not known for long.
Perhaps it was just as he had said. Perhaps his other self from Earth-0 really was good friends with him.
