"You're actually tempted?"
Su Ming stared at Aphra, speechless. Her eyes were darting around again. She was clearly thinking of going to take a look.
Fair enough. She didn't know it, but as someone who had crossed over, Deathstroke knew the place really existed. He just wasn't sure exactly where it was.
"Confirming that a myth is real holds enormous appeal for an archaeologist like my master."
Zero Three immediately voiced Aphra's thoughts, playing the interpreter to perfection as he spoke in metallic English:
"Especially now that her degree has been revoked. One great discovery would put every doubt to rest. Of course, if my master let me kill her father and destroy the evidence that bald man has, that would solve the problem too."
"How could I let you kill my dad?! Sure, he's irresponsible, thoughtless, coldhearted, and does nothing but grin like an idiot. Why am I only coming up with flaws? Ahem! Anyway, you can't kill him!"
Aphra rapped Zero Three on the head and rolled her eyes at the droid. Then she looked cautiously at Deathstroke.
"Um, boss, since you and Dr. Quinzel are here on vacation, it doesn't really matter where you go with me, does it?"
Su Ming glanced at Harley in his arms. She was sticking rhinestones onto her fingernails and humming softly.
She really did seem able to appreciate the strange alien music here.
"In theory, yes. But I've made you a long list of things to find." Deathstroke actually pulled a slip of paper from his belt pouch. "First, bring me a Bezen Symbiote from Yavin IV. Then I need you to take me to find a Kyber Crystal."
Aphra waved her hands at once, her face twisting with discomfort.
"I know where there are Kyber Crystals, but they're hard to
