Leaving aside the intimate interaction between master and servant, Su Ming continued watching the video logs.

The opening segment passed quickly. Next, Zero Three played the changes over the following days.

The camp could be seen taking shape. The archaeologists ate the local fruit, explored and collected samples from the surrounding area, and even held a bonfire party, supposedly imitating a celebration ritual from some remote planet.

As the days passed, their condition began to decline. In the videos, there were fewer and fewer smiles, while more and more people had disheveled hair and unkempt beards.

There were no discoveries on the fifth day, nor on the sixth. They changed their direction of exploration on the seventh day, and rested after finding nothing on the eighth.

The jungle environment had given them several common rainforest illnesses, and bites from all manner of tiny insects made it difficult for them to get proper rest. Dr. Adams, the team leader, began to grow irritable and anxious, deep dark circles appearing around his eyes.

On the tenth day, the log was recorded at night. The fluorescent screen cast a sinister pallor over Dr. Adams's face, and he seemed extremely panicked.

"We lost someone. Yes, Keel never came back after going down to inspect the water pump beneath the well. I sent people to look for him, but all they found was his protective suit."

"What happened to him? The suit was locked from the inside, and its protection systems were functioning normally. How did he vanish from his own diving gear?"

"I hope he's still alive. Once it's light tomorrow, I'll organize a larger search operation to explore the underground water network. I'm not in good shape today, so that's all."

The log ended.

Zero Three looked at her master, then at Deathstroke.
