Florida was a state in the southeastern United States, the chunk sticking out from the lower-right corner of the country's map.

It bordered the Atlantic Ocean to the east, the Gulf of Mexico to the west, and Alabama and Georgia to the north. Its capital was Tallahassee, but whenever people mentioned Florida, the first city that came to mind was always Miami.
